Actinic keratosis
A pre-malignant lesion on areas of chronic sun exposure: a rough, scaly patch that is felt more than it is seen.
Treating keratoses — with cryotherapy or targeted creams — prevents progression to carcinoma. They also identify those who need regular monitoring.
