Acne

An inflammatory disease of the sebaceous glands and hair follicles, very common in adolescence but also frequent in adults. It shows up as blackheads, spots and, in more severe cases, painful nodules, mainly on the face, chest and back.

Treatment is effective in practically every case — and treating early is the best way to avoid permanent scarring. If acne persists, hurts or leaves marks, a dermatology consultation is warranted.
