Cutaneous lupus erythematosus

An autoimmune disease that may affect the skin alone or form part of a systemic condition. The lesions are typically made worse by the sun, with redness and scaling on sun-exposed areas.

It requires a dermatological diagnosis, strict sun protection and regular follow-up, sometimes in liaison with other specialties.
