Mucosal biopsy

Removal of a fragment of mucosa (mouth, genital area) under local anaesthetic, for histological study of persistent lesions in these areas.

Quick and well tolerated, it allows an accurate diagnosis of conditions that have a rather non-specific appearance on the mucosa.
