Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disease that is common in the Portuguese population. Milder forms can be treated with topical treatments and lifestyle measures. More severe forms are a therapeutic challenge, requiring a combination of lifestyle measures, topical treatment, oral therapy (acitretin), conventional immunosuppressive therapy (ciclosporin, methotrexate) and biologic therapy (anti-TNF, anti-IL12/IL23, anti-IL17 or anti-IL23).
